Medissage Health & Outreach powering rEboosTx: medical massage, peer support, wellness coaching, education, and outcomes

The rEboosTx program

Structure and consistency for chronic-pain support.

Participants living with chronic pain bring their goals and preferences to a connected care plan. rEboosTx brings therapeutic care, guided engagement, and coordination together to support consistent participation and practical next steps.

Three pillars of rEboosTx

Medical Massage

Outcome-focused sessions designed to address pain patterns, improve function, and support diagnosis-informed care.

Supportive Engagement

Guided support that reinforces accountability, consistency, and long-term participation in care.

Coordinated Model

A flexible structure that allows integration with clinics, organizations, and future healthcare partnerships.

Medical massage is the manual intervention within this program. Peer support, education, and coordination support the person around that hands-on care; they do not replace clinical assessment or treatment.

Diagnosis-informed medical massage. Connected care.

rEboosTx medical massage is diagnosis-informed therapeutic manual care, coordinated with pain-management and other referring providers. The plan centers specific referral needs, individualized pain and function goals, and ongoing review within the massage professional’s scope. Wellness peer support, coaching, daily practices, and nutrition education connect that care with the participant’s wider goals.

Medical massage · Referral-led therapeutic care

Work from the referring provider’s diagnosis and care recommendations—not a new diagnosis by the massage professional. Agree treatment goals, review pain and everyday function, and coordinate appropriate updates with the care team and participant consent.

Whole-person wellness · Put goals into practice

Connect therapeutic manual care with supportive relationships, daily routines, nutrition education, and meaningful community participation. Wellness peer coaching helps you practice the next steps you choose.

Within medication-assisted treatment (MAT), medical massage may be included as a complementary intervention when the treating team determines it is appropriate. It does not replace medication, counseling, withdrawal management, or other prescribed care.

From wellness peer support to wellness peer coaching

Stay connected. Practice wellness. Choose SMART goals—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Review progress together and connect with the professionals needed for the next step.

How it works

A four-step process.

Assessment conversation between a participant and a professional
1

Assessment

Participants are evaluated to understand pain patterns and functional needs.

Start with the participant’s goals and PROMIS® patient-reported assessment, alongside the appropriate professional assessment of pain and everyday function.

BiologicalPsychological

2

Treatment Plan & Hands-On Care

A structured approach is created using medical massage and supportive engagement.

Appropriate hands-on sessions follow the plan and the qualified professional’s scope of practice.

3

Ongoing Support

Participants receive continued guidance to maintain progress and consistency.

Wellness peer support builds connection. Wellness peer coaching turns that connection into person-led wellness practices, SMART goals, and connections to the right next-step professionals. Prysm iO supports a separate nutritional-wellness conversation.

Follow-Up & Program Integration

The model allows coordination with organizations and future healthcare systems.

Review progress and connect the next steps: Wellness Builders Workshop, wellness peer coaching, and participant-chosen training or employment-support referrals, as appropriate.

Social

Keep moving forward after rEboosTx.

  1. 1 · Understand & practice

Continue through Wellness Builders Workshop to understand whole-person wellness and bring new practices into everyday life.

  2. 2 · Build daily habits

Work with wellness peer coaching on person-led SMART goals, steady connection, and daily wellness routines.

  3. 3 · Connect to opportunities

Explore wanted and needed workforce or technical training, professional referrals, and employment-placement support through appropriate partners. Availability and eligibility apply; jobs are not guaranteed.

Two tools. Different roles in whole-person support.

PROMIS® · The participant’s perspective

Medissage uses PROMIS patient-reported assessment to help understand the participant’s experience. PROMIS measures assess physical, mental, and social health; the selected measures and review schedule are part of the care plan.

Prysm iO · Nutritional wellness education

Prysm iO provides a non-invasive skin-carotenoid reading to support nutritional-wellness education. Explore everyday food and wellness choices, with connections to qualified nutrition or medical professionals when appropriate. The reading is not a diagnosis or proof that a treatment has worked.

Where partnership can begin

Meet people where they are.

Bring the people providing support into the same conversation: clarify referrals, agree each service’s role, and plan the next step around the participant.

Behavioral health centers

The rEboosTx model was included in a pilot within New Hope Behavioral Health Center’s intensive outpatient program in Mesa, Arizona. That experience is a starting point for other centers to adapt the model to their patients, workflows, and clinical oversight. Referral criteria, professional scope, and follow-up are agreed with each host team.

The Medissage Way

One person. Connected support.

    rEboosTx → Wellness peer coaching

Participant choice guides the pathway. Track referrals and service status, share appropriate updates with consent, and review SMART goals together. Services are matched to needs—not a requirement to complete every stage.

Patient Testimony

"After being in a back brace for 3 months, I found that my hip had compensated for the immobility of my back. It had become as painful as my back. I attended six weeks of physical therapy with not much progress being made on my hip pain. I attended weekly treatments with Medissage and finally found relief."

Evidence & care safety · Service scope and coordination

Assessment and medical massage are provided by appropriately qualified professionals, within their scope and when suitable for the participant. Wellness education and peer support complement—not replace—medical or behavioral health treatment. Availability and individual results vary.

Houston expansion and partnership pathways describe planned opportunities, not an operating pilot or confirmed hospital/shelter integrations. Services, eligibility, staffing, referral responsibilities, and communication arrangements are agreed before delivery.

Personal information is shared only with consent and through an agreed secure process. This website is not clinical intake and does not represent an active automated health-record connection.

Massage is not a detox treatment and does not remove medications or substances, replace withdrawal care, or establish that trauma has been released or hormones regulated. A trauma-informed approach centers choice, permission, boundaries, and the ability to pause or decline touch.

PROMIS measures and review schedules are selected for the care plan. Prysm iO is a separate wellness tool, not a diagnostic test or proof of treatment effectiveness.
